Privacy Policy
Grateful American Coin is an all-volunteer nonprofit. We collect only what we need to fill your order and stay in touch, and we never sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
What we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, shipping address, email address, phone number (if you give one) and payment details. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments or PayPal; we never see or store your full card number.
When you browse the site, Shopify and Google Analytics record standard technical details such as your device, browser, IP address and the pages you visit. We use that to keep the site working and to see which pages people find useful.
If you share a coin story with us, we keep the story, your name and any photo you send so we can publish it if you gave us permission to.
How we use it
- To ship your coins and send order and shipping updates.
- To answer your questions.
- To send news and offers by email, no more than once a month, and only if you ticked "Email me with news and offers" at checkout or signed up on the site. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also reply and ask us to stop.
- To protect the store from fraud.
Who sees it
Your information is stored by Shopify, which runs our store, and is shared only with the services that help us run it: Shopify Payments or PayPal for payment, the postal carrier for delivery, Google Analytics for site statistics, and Shopify Email for our newsletters. We do not sell, rent or trade customer information, and we do not share it with any third party for their own marketing.
We will disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing us at the address below.
Children
Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with the date it took effect.
